What I'm Looking For
I'm not searching for a specific industry. I'm searching for a specific kind of business — and a specific kind of owner.
A business that's a fit usually looks like this:
- Established and consistently profitable. It has weathered good years and bad, and it works.
- A strong reputation. Customers come back, refer others, and would notice if the business disappeared tomorrow.
- A team that takes pride in the work. The people are a reason for the success, not an obstacle to it.
- An owner who cares what happens next. You want the business, the employees, and the customers in good hands — not just the highest bidder.
- In the greater Seattle area — or anywhere it can be led well remotely. Seattle is home base, but many great businesses don't need their owner around the corner, and I'm equally open to those.
I'm especially drawn to businesses that serve other businesses, but I care far more about the quality of the company and the fit between us than the industry label.
What I'm not looking for:
- A startup or a turnaround
- A business to cut costs on and resell
- A situation where speed matters more than getting it right
